Our colleague Dr. Fernando Avecilla has recently attended the XXVIII Galician-Portuguese Chemistry Meeting held from November 13th to 15th in Vigo, Spain.
Dr. Avecilla participated in the congress by presenting two poster communications with some of our latest results, namely: “Study of the influence of hydrogen bonds in the interaction of copper complexes with DNA” and “Thermal, dielectric, and optical properties of [(CH3CH2)3N(CH2X)]2[MnCl4] ionic plastic crystals”. This last one was carried out in collaboration with the QuiMolMat Group from the CICA research center.

This international congress, which included participation from several European countries, was organized by the Official College of Chemists of Galicia, the Galician Association of Chemists, and the Portuguese Chemical Society.
