Dr. Avecilla from our group collaborated in a study on different vanadium complexes and their potential biocatalytic applications.
In the study, two different types of dioxidomolybdenum(VI) Complexes of N,N’-capped tetrapodal ligands, which are controlled by the substituents at 3- and 5-positions on the phenyl group, were prepared and characterized. Both complexes showed excellent biomimetic catalytic activity similar to enzymes haloperoxidases supporting their use as functional models.
